VW originally included a very similar exhaust support bracket system like this for the front (cylinder #1 & #3) exhaust header pipe on Syncro models. Our redesigned clamp and bracket reduces vibration that can lead to exhaust failure. Protect your GoWesty exhaust with this simple product.
Does not fit OEM exhaust.
Fits:
• 1983-1991 all water-cooled 2WD & 4WD Vanagon with GoWesty stainless exhaust.
• For use on the 1/3 header pipe closest to the engine firewall
Important install note: This product is a bit tricky to install with the engine in and our GoWesty stainless exhaust system already mounted. Access is tight, but installation is totally doable. Make sure the engine and exhaust is cool and mind those knuckles!
